how long would it take to save $1,000?
...if you make $930 a month.
...rent is $503.
...you owe the bank $650...
Around the 30th of every month you get paid $930 (benefits)
minus$503 (rent)
equals$427 (left over).
You must stop direct deposit for this to occur.
then you can deposit $200 into your bank account, bringing the debt to ($650 minus $200 is $450)...
and you have $227 left in your pocket for the month... pay phone bill? ($50)
you will definitely need to pay the internet bill. ($40 to $80)
so, on second thought, you might only be able to deposit $150 back into the credit union account.
so, on the first month, you only have enough to pay back $150. that leaves $500 in debt to the credit union, and $277 in pocket, to pay internet bill $40, so then $237, phone bill $55? leaves $182... minus $90 for a months worth of cigs ( 15 packs x $6 each... 1 pack every two days...) so that leaves $90.
i guess i save that, which isn't much... i will probably end up spending it though...
what kind of things do i usually buy? beer... i could buy an extension chord!!! ($15 to $30)
that could leave about $75... a $1.50 beer everyday would cost $45... so $45 from $75 is $30 i would have left... that's like, nothing...
maybe i could by some coffee, filters, tea... $10?
$20 left... wash some clothes, have a beer at brainwash?
then i want to buy hamani a beer at brainwash too, maybe even food... how much?
so how to save $1,000 to go visit my mom?
if i could even squeeze $100 out of here... ten months, would be the answer...
it's rather tragic right now, just cause the debt. let's see what happens once i pay that off...
$935 a month
-503 rent
equals
$432
Let's say you eliminate all expenses... no cigarettes, no beer, no internet, etc...
you would pocket about $432 every month...
it would take three months to save enough.
